The Multimedia Communications Lab is a research laboratory and group hosted by the Department of Engineering Enzo Ferrari of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Modena, Italy.
Our groups research interests are in multimedia communications in wired and wireless networks, with emphasis on novel distribution architectures for video delivery and privacy preserving solutions. Here are some of the themes we are currently investigating or that we have explored in the recent past:
- Peer-to-peer overlays for video streaming: models and performance evaluation;
- Users interests and preferences: how to leverage them to more efficiently deliver video content over the Internet;
- Architectures and protocols to run data mining algorithms in a privacy preserving manner;
- Performance analysis of randomized distributed space-time codes for wireless cooperative communications.
